We Pay it Forward

We launched our nonprofit, the Locations Foundation, in 1988 to provide assistance to local nonprofits and schools that support families and children in need across Oahu.

Our agents live, work and play in communities across Oahu. As residents, parents, caregivers and Realtors®, our agents and employees have a vested interest in helping neighbors in need. The Locations Foundation provides a trusted way to give back through community service events and donations to charitable organizations, students and educators.

Giving back not only feels good, but it makes good business sense, too. According to a recent Forbes article, businesses who prioritize charitable giving enjoy broader networks, more engaged employees, an enhanced reputation and stronger marketing.

With more than 200 volunteers and donors, the Foundation continues to effect meaningful, positive change. Together, our impact on the community is much greater than individual efforts alone could be.

Cheering on Keiki

Watch as Jay Miller (above), a mortgage originator with Locations’ affiliate Compass Home Loans, shares a recent Locations Foundation service project at Aina Haina Elementary, where more than a dozen volunteers turned out to write colorful, inspiring messages in sidewalk chalk for keiki in advance of the school’s American Heart Association Kids Heart Challenge event.

Jay has volunteered with the Locations Foundation for more than 15 years and has served on the Foundation’s Advisory Board since 2014. He was honored with the Foundation’s Angel Award in 2021 for his many years of service.

Supporting Scholars

Since 2018, the Foundation has provided a scholarship to a deserving local student to attend the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

The first recipient of the scholarship, Sacred Hearts Academy alumna Christianne Moss, recently graduated with degrees in communications and dance from UH.

Thanks to the support Christianne received from the Foundation, she was able to focus on her studies without worrying about the cost of her education.

To be considered for a Locations Foundation Leaders of Tomorrow Scholarship, a student must maintain a 3.0 GPA, be a graduate of a Hawaii high school and demonstrate community service, among other criteria. Recipients are selected by the university’s vice chancellor for students.

The Locations Foundation was named Hawaii’s Best Local Non-Profit in 2021 by our clients the readers of the Honolulu Star-Advertiser.
