The entire Locations ‘Ohana looks forward to the picnic each year as a time to enjoy one another’s company outside of the office, get to know each other’s family and reflect on the growth and spirit of our organization. This year, we were also treated to a traditional Hawaiian chant by Locations President and CEO Corbett Kalama.
Since the early years of our founding in 1969, agents and employees, along with their family members, have gathered together for a day filled with ‘ono food and drinks, games for the keiki, our legendary watermelon-eating contest, swimming, paddling and more—all set against the backdrop of the breathtaking Ko’olaus and sparkling turquoise waters.
But the Locations company picnic isn’t just fun and games; it’s also an opportunity for us to give back to the community through our annual Locations Foundation Clothing Drive and Locations Foundation Silent Auction. This year, we collected nearly 4,000 pounds of clothing for the United Cerebral Palsy Association of Hawaii at the picnic, which the Locations Foundation has pledged to match with dollar-to-pound donation to UCP Hawaii. Picnic-goers also bid on donated items—like agent Bernie Tong’s famous chocolate chip mac nut cookies—raising nearly $6,800 to support the work of our non-profit charitable foundation.
While our picnic has evolved over the years, our commitment to fostering a warm and welcoming company culture remains unchanged. At Locations, we believe that when you work with us, you’re not just a part of a team; you’re embraced as a valued member of our ‘ohana. So, if you’ve been looking for a company that feels like home, Locations could be your perfect match!
