Locations on the Links at the Sony Open

As a proud sponsor of the 2024 Sony Open in Hawaii, the Locations ‘Ohana enjoyed four action-packed days on the links while entertaining clients and helping to support local charities.

Thanks to the many deep relationships of our President and CEO Corbett Kalama, who as president of Friends of Hawaii Charities has long been involved in the Sony Open in Hawaii, Locations was proud to secure a Triple Eagle sponsorship of this prestigious PGA tournament (along with fellow sponsors like Southwest Airlines and OUTRIGGER Resorts and Hotels).

From January 11 to January 14, Locations agents had the unique opportunity to treat clients to an unforgettable experience as the world’s top golf pros competed against the stunning backdrop of the breathtaking Pacific Ocean and the majestic Koolau mountains.

The air was buzzing with excitement around the Locations VIP tent on the 9th green of the Waialae Country Club as golf legends passed by less than 10 feet away. As with any good party, we packed our tent with plenty of drinks and an ‘ono spread.

About the Sony Open in Hawaii

The largest charity golf event in Hawaii, the Sony Open draws 144 of the world’s greatest golf professionals to Oahu each January. The event is also the principal fund-raising of the Friends of Hawaii Charities, and annual tournament charity proceeds of $1.2 million benefit more than 100 not-for-profit organizations each year. Since the tournament’s founding in 1999, the Friends have raised $24 million for 350 local not-for-profits. The Sony Open is also known for showcasing international golf talent and camaraderie, along with the scenic natural beauty of Hawaii.
